(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Rochester High School marked a significant milestone as Head Football Coach Derek Leonard achieved his 200th career win with a 63-7 victory over Lincoln on Friday. Since assuming the role of head coach, Leonard has guided the Rockets to nine state championships.

Superintendent Dan Cox lauded Leonard’s accomplishment, stating, “Reaching 200 career wins is a testament to Derek’s outstanding leadership and the legacy he continues to build at Rochester. His passion for the game is only superseded by his dedication to our students. We couldn’t be prouder of all that he has accomplished.”

An official press release from the school district congratulated not only Leonard, but also his coaching staff and players who contributed to the milestone.
