Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – It’s Fire Prevention Week and JC Fultz from the Office of the State Fire Marshal joined the WTAX Morning Newswatch to talk about when to test and when to replace smoke alarms. Fultz says working smoke alarms reduce the risk of dying in a home fire by more than half, and programs are available to help with smoke alarm installation.
