Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Illinois State Police arrested 39-year-old Kavita Lettimore of Springfield on a charge of involuntary manslaughter after a medical equipment malfunction led to the death of her husband.

The investigation began after Waverly Police requested ISP’s help following the February 18 death of Randy L. Lettimore, 39, at a residence in the 300 block of West State Street. ISP agents found that interference with Randy’s medical device contributed to his death.

On October 15, Kavita Lettimore was charged and taken into custody. She is currently being held at the Sangamon County Jail but will be transported back to Morgan County for her first court appearance.
