Springfield, ILĀ (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Golden Rule Entertainment, the ownership group for the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes, announced Friday it has acquired a second Prospect League membership and summer collegiate baseball will return to Quincy starting with the 2025 season. The Quincy Baseball Club will join the league which currently boasts 18 teams.
Tim Hoker of Grayslake, one of the partners with Golden Rule Entertainment, will be the director of the new Quincy team, according to the Muddy River News. Hoker told the news outlet that another name-the-team contest, similar to what was done with the Horseshoes, should be expected.
