Kevin Ray Goatley, 63, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at his residence.

Kevin was born on December 28, 1960, in Pana, IL, the son of Duane and Carolee (Tipsword) Goatley.

Kevin worked as a Sous Chef at Bauer’s and the Crowne Plaza, was an avid bowler and bowled several 300 games. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, loved watching the Rams and Blackhawks and his beloved Chicago Cubs.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Terry (Sunhei) Goatley; sisters, Linda (Randy) Billbe and Karen Brockman; nieces and nephews, Tina Brickey, Jennifer Farley, Jacob Billbe, Shannon (Mark) Owens, Ashley (Ryan) Fitzsimmons, Keir Goatley and Aaron Goatley as well as several great nieces and nephews; step-father, Fred Quattrin; aunt Georgia Culumber; great aunt Iva Fringer; great uncle Tracy (Daisy) Logsdon; and his best friends, Gary and Kathy Zimmerman.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2:00PM at Rochester Cemetery with Pastor Dustin Bramer officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at Topcat’s starting at 4:00PM.
