Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Two Springfield men have been arrested in connection with a Bloomington burglary involving stolen firearms. On Tuesday, the Springfield Police Street Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of South 16th Street.
During a search, officers recovered a Glock 20 with an automatic switch and a Springfield Armory 9mm, both of which were reportedly stolen in the Bloomington burglary. Additional items linked to the burglary were also recovered, according to an official release from SPD.
Two suspects, 23-year-old Frank K. Anderson and 20-year-old Bradford L. House, both of Springfield, were taken into custody. Anderson faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm without a FOID card. House faces charges of unlawful use of a machine gun and possession of a firearm without a FOID card. Both men are being held at the Sangamon County Jail.
