Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Dog of the Week is so sweet we just had to name her Sugar.
Sugar is a pretty two-year-old girl who has been living in a kennel at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center since August 30. She came to us as a confiscation and is looking for a family to love her and give her a fresh start at a better life.
Unfortunately, Sugar doesn’t make a good first impression if you meet her in her kennel. She wants to get out of there so badly she acts kind of crazy. You really need to get outside with her and spend some time. You’ll find she is a good-natured girl who loves to snuggle up to her human for love and attention, and she’s calm on a leash during her walks. Come on out and spend some time with her, and you’ll see she is really sweet.
Our kennels are completely full at SCACAC. We really need help from the community to take care of the homeless dogs of Sangamon County. If you’re looking to adopt or willing to foster, please come out and meet the dogs. They’re waiting to meet you Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m. -4:14 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
