Gov JB Pritzker, announcing a new tech trainee program Thursday, makes it sound so easy, starting with a $54,000 paid training program.
“Upon completion,” Pritzker said to applause, “students who meet the programs requirements will be offered a full-time job with the state Department of Innovation and Technology.”
Fields available are: cybersecurity, coding and database, networking, end-user computing, and enterprise infrastructure.
Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield is involved, as are the City Colleges of Chicago.
