With over $100 million in ticket pre-sales, pop sensation Taylor Swifts new concert film is sure to be a box office hit.

The film, Eras, made its nation-wide premier Friday night and Taylor’s legion of fans in Springfield did not let a little drizzle keep them away from Route 66 Drive-In where the film was screened.

As might be expected the bulk of the audience was pre-teen girls with their moms acting as chaffer and chaperone. Many cars made a party of it with 4 or 5 kids to a car.

Theater owner, Doug Knight, says the film will play for three weekends at a higher ticket price than usual.
