(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Rochester School Superintendent Dan Cox has resigned from his position. The district and Cox released a joint statement Wednesday indicating the decision was part of a mutual agreement. Cox’s last day will be June 30.
The joint news release said the mutual decision was made “with respect and appreciation for the work accomplished in the past five years.”
The parting is on “amicable terms” per the release and acknowledged the “complexities of education leadership today and the shared accomplishments achieved during his service.”
In January, Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. was hired by the board to investigate the superintendent. Cox was placed on administrative leave on Jan. 6.
