Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes leases Robin Roberts Stadium from the Springfield Park District. The stadium continues to have deferred maintenance, and the Shoes want something to do about it — either do the repairs, or transfer the stadium ownership to “Friends of Robin Roberts Stadium.”

The Springfield Park District has not responded to WTAX’s request for comment or an interview, but Shoes Chief Storyteller Jamie Toole gives his side of the latest with Will Stevenson on the WTAX Morning Newswatch.
