A Springfield man’s in custody after what police describe as a major drug bust Wednesday.
Springfield police say they, working with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Central Illinois Enforcement Group, executed search warrants on two homes: one in the 6500 block of Cherylwood Drive in Springfield and one on Birchwood Court in Chatham.
James T. Gordon, 44, Springfield, is accused of rmed violence, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He is also accused of bring an armed habitual criminal/
Police say they confiscated:
- 3 kilo presses
- Ammunition
- Scales
- $11,436 in cash
- 7 firearms with defaced serial numbers
- 25 pounds of cannabis
- 512 grams of powder cocaine
- 44 grams of crack cocaine
- 7,992 grams of a fentanyl / heroin mix
