The newly built Lanphier High School is ready for its closeup. And, with modern amenities and other bells and whistles, the hope is that student performance will also improve.
“My hope,” said interim principal Alicia Miller Thursday, “is that our kids will show up and show out.”
Reporters Thursday got a first look at the new digs, part of a district-wide construction program funded by a voter-approved one percent sales tax. New classrooms, gyms, and an atrium (pictured) are all in place.
Still to come: Lanphier’s first ever auditorium.
