Springfield public works director Dave Fuchs (pictured) has a new assignment: list all road projects and where they are.
Ald. Roy Williams has said it before, and he’s saying it again: the east side gets shorted when it comes to city resources. “There’s this perception that we are equal, and I would like to see the plans for the roads, because it seems like some of us are stuck fighting and fighting for a road that’s so small, and then a big road gets done,” he said Tuesday.
Ald. Chuck Redpath suggests Williams is misguided. He told the WTAX Morning Newswatch Wednesday Williams may be surprised once he gets that list.
Ald. Erin Conley, telling Williams his request is “reasonable,” asked Fuchs to “look back over the last year or two, also” while he’s at it.
