District 186 had its first e-learning day of the school year Tuesday. Superintendent Jennifer Gill called it a success:

“Success looks like, to me right now, 76 percent of our students logged in and participated. Feitshans had the highest with 97 percent logging in. 80 percent of our middle and high school students logged in, so right there is a huge success.”

Schools were closed due to the cold. Gill said there are some minor things the district needs to work out and they will be looking to make e-learning even more successful.

Schools are allowed five e-learning days per school year.
