Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield man is under arrest in what police call an ongoing narcotics investigation. Police say Robert Kemp (pictured), 55, got away from officers trying to make contact with him Nov. 7 near the intersection of Fourth and Cook Streets. Police caught up with him and executed warrants for a home and a hotel room related to Kemp. Police say they recovered about sixty grams of suspected methamphetamine, about five grams of suspected crack, about forty grams of suspected cannabis, and a nine millimetre pistol.
