Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Most people hate the wait times, and overwhelming aspects of going to the DMV. This is why the Lincoln Library is here to help, with the Mobile DMV service.

There will only be 50 slots available, it is by appointment and is solely to assist the busy lives of City employees. So, if you work for the City of Springfield, act fast, and get your DMV trip done even faster.

The Secretary of State will have authorized staff, parked at Seventh and Capitol this upcoming Friday from 10am until 2pm. You will be able to get anything you would need from your typical DMV, such as a new license, real ID, state ID, Passports, and even vehicle registration. This fast and friendly service has been a big hit for residents in the Springfield area every time that it has come around, and they would love to help you get what you need taken care of.

A guest on the WTAX Morning News watch, Lana Shovlin (SHOHV-lin), states that it’s “not only fast, but also friendly, and the community loves the ability to get in and out and taken care of, without the annoying pick a number detail”.

For more information you can go to the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles website or reach out to the Lincoln Public Library at (217) 753-4900 and ask about the Mobile DMV.
