Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield offers a long list of activities for both visitors and locals alike. There are free concerts in the summertime, plenty of historical sites to check out and learn about, such as museums for Abraham Lincoln and the historical and iconic Route 66.

Of course, summertime isn’t the only time to have fun in Springfield.

Amy Beadle from Visit Springfield spoke on the WTAX Morning Newswatch about the upcoming January itinerary for tourists and residents of our capitol city.

First up, the Hoogland Center will be hosting Elvis Himselvis at 3PM.

Elvis Himselvis is a tribute musician that covers original Elvis Presley songs.

You can also catch the Harlem Globetrotters on Jan 8 at B.O.S. Center at 7PM.

The Lucky Horseshoes will have Ricky Horton from the Cardinals at Motorhead on the 29th.

There will be two winter farmers markets, this upcoming Saturday January 3, and another one on January 17 at Union Station.

it is super simple to sign up, and so far, there has been just over 150 people who have completed this course.
