Groundbreaking for the $67 million Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe, originally expected in July, now could take place in September if the Springfield City Council approves an extended time frame for business district incentives. The developer says this step is necessary to satisfy the lending institutions involved.

The AAA Springfield office has closed, but Rambach Insurance Agency has taken over its services, and several of the staff members as well. Plus, Bigley Insurance Agency opens Sept. 5 at 677 Linton Ave.
