Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Two and a half weeks before his scheduled trial, one of the two former EMT’s accused of murdering Earl Moore Jr. has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

In what Judge Robin Schmidt described as a “partially negotiated” agreement, Peter Cadigan (pictured, right) entered the plea Friday morning, as he was in court for a pre-trial hearing. The trial was to begin May 11.

Co-defendant Peggy Finley (pictured, left) is scheduled for trial in June. The judge in December separated the two cases. Cadigan and Finley were to be tried together.

Cadigan could get a 2-5 year term when he is sentenced June 23.
