Full-day kindergarten is under consideration in a bill before house lawmakers. Supporters say full-day, instead of just half-day kindergarten will improve student academic performance and social skills. Negotiators say they will continue working on the measure, and plan to introduce an amendment to have the requirement phased in over four years instead of starting this fall.
