Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are filled to capacity. We have all kinds of wonderful dogs that will be great companions waiting to meet you.

Introducing Streak — a great dog who just can’t catch a break. Streak is about two years old. He was adopted from SCACAC as a puppy and was picked up as a stray in January. He was adopted again recently but was unfortunately returned because it wasn’t a good fit.

Streak is a volunteer favorite because he’s an all around good dog. He pulls a little on the leash but not too bad. He loves people and has done great at off-site adoptions with adults and kids. Streak is a good natured, easy going boy who needs a forever home. He’s available for foster and adoption.

You can meet Streak and all of the animals looking for loving homes during shelter hours Monday through-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
