Emergency medical supplies from Illinois are headed to Turkey to help support disaster relief efforts and provide humanitarian aid as the country recovers from the February 6th earthquake that killed more than 41,000 people.

Friday, Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency announced the release of emergency medical supplies including basic and advanced life support equipment, bedside monitors, wheelchairs, operating room equipment and ventilators.

Rolling Meadows company MedGlobal, who specializes in helping with humanitarian crisis, will assist the state with the transfer of equipment.
