SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield man is dead after another motorcycle accident in the city.

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon says, in a news release, 32-year-old Michael Owens was pronounced dead early Sunday morning just before 5:00 a.m. from what was believed to be multiple blunt force injuries.

Allmon says the motorcycle Owens was riding crashed near South 5th Street and Stanford Avenue. Owens died not long after he was taken to a Springfield hospital from the scene.

Springfield Police and Allmon’s office are continuing an investigation.
