SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Harlem Globetrotters will play another game against the Washington Generals in Springfield at the start of 2027.

According to a news release, the Bank of Springfield Center says the Globetrotters and Generals will go at it at the BOS Center on Wednesday, January 6, 2027.  Tickets will go on sale to the public this Friday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m.

“The Harlem Globetrotters – the team that invented basketball culture – bring the Rivalry Tour to your city as part of their 2027 world tour, with a roster of stars who turn every possession into showtime, quarter after quarter,” said the news release.  “This is a new experience – you’re not just watching, you’re part of it. You could get pulled onto the court. Join the squad. Own the jumbotron. Because anything can happen at a Globetrotters game. A free, all-new pre-game party kicks off the moment doors open, packed with new surprises for longtime fans and first-time families.”

An online-only presale will be Wednesday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 p.m., with use of the code “VENUE.”

Ticket prices were not immediately clear.
