SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Fall is a great time to get outside with your best friend and enjoy the cool air and beautiful colors. Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week would love to get outside with you.

Van is a fun loving boy. He’s a little over a year old and he walks pretty well on a leash. Because he’s a young dog, he does have some energy to burn off. He will be a great companion for walks with active adults. Van is very handsome and he’s available for foster and adoption.

Our kennels are full of dogs that would love to meet you and see if they could be your new best friend. Please come on out to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. Shelter is located at 2100 Shale St in Springfield.
