Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – U.S. Rep. Nikki Budzinski (D-Springfield) did a little campaigning in Springfield this (Monday) morning. Seeking a second term, she sounds apprehensive about a new Farm Bill.

“Previous Farm Bills on extension have failed when one side of the aisle wants to make dramatic cuts to some of the programs,” said Budzinski. “Some of the indications, we are getting out of the outlines that have been provided is that house reps would to see thirty billion dollars of cuts to the Thrifty Food Plan.”

Budzinski says that would run the bill on the backs of America’s hungry.

Budzinski, running against Republican Joshua Loyd, was in Springfield to pick up the endorsement of the Police Benevolent and Protective Association.
