The National Weather Service in Lincoln says central Illinois can expect severe weather Froday afternoon and evening, with Spingfield’s severest risk between 6 and 10 p.m.
Warning coordination meteorologist Ed Shimon said central Illinois is at “moderate” risk, with a five to ten percent chance of a tornado within 25 miles of any particular point.
