Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Meow Mobile cat of the week is a sweet golden age lady named Bellatrix. Bellatrix is a beautiful black house panther with an adorable white patch on her chest. She arrived at Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center on May 10 as an owner surrender through no fault of her own. At eight years old, Bellatrix can be counted on to be well past that crazy climb-your-curtains kitten stage. She would rather cuddle up with you on the couch to watch Netflix! Her purrfect home will have no furry siblings, because she prefers to have her humans all to herself.
Bellatrix is recovering from the trauma of being owner surrendered to a noisy, scary shelter, after eight years of being in the same home. She will require some patience and TLC while she adjusts. She will appreciate being confined to a small quiet room for at least the first few days in her forever home, until she feels safe and ready to explore. While Bellatrix is considered a senior, this pretty lady still has plenty of love left to share. As an older black cat sure to be passed over by potential adopters during kitten season, her biggest hope is forever with you. Bellatrix will go home with you spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated appropriate to age. She is negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).
