JACKSONVILLE, IL (WAND) — One person is recovering after a shooting early Sunday morning in Jacksonville.

Police were called to 400 block of S. Mauvaisterre St. for a shots fired call just before 5 a.m.

When officer arrived, they were alerted a victim arrived at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Jacksonville Police says, the incident appears to be isolated and after an investigation it is believed that the suspect and victim know each other. The victim is in stable condition.

Police say, the victim was uncooperative with police identifying the suspect that shot them.
