Don’t be surprised if the storms wake you up.

While there are storms in the forecast tonight, the National Weather Service in Lincoln says the best chance of a tornado in the Springfield area is between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Didn’t we just go through this? Meteorologist Nicole Albano remarks on two events just days apart.

“This is normally the time of year that we do start to get severe weather, so it is not completely out of the norm. April, May, and June are usually our biggest months for severe weather, but to have two moderate risks – I know last Friday there was a high risk, which is very rare – to have two moderate risks issued within a couple of days of each other is probably on the rare side.”

The most important thing to know is – there is a chance of a tornado.
