Springfield, you will have a new mayor.

Treasurer Misty Buscher derailed two-term incumbent Mayor Langfelder’s attempt at a third and final term. The vote totals were 13,554 for Buscher and 12,782 for Langfelder. That’s 51.47 percent to 48.53 percent.

Colleen Redpath Feger, Buscher’s deputy in the treasurer’s office, succeeds Buscher. Feger received 46 percent of the vote in a three-way race.

City council winners were incumbents Roy Williams and Lakeisha Purchase in Wards 3 and 5, respectively. Newcomers in Wards 4, 6, and 7 are Larry Rockford, Jennifer Notariano, and Brad Carlson.

District 186 voters chose incumbents Sarah Blissett and Micah Miller; and former Ridgely principal Ken Gilmore.

Township questions passed in the Springfield area. Cannabis questions in Chatham failed.
