Eugene “Gene” Henry Stahr, 88, formerly of Riverton passed away on Monday June 10, 2024.

Gene was born in Pawnee, IL on July 5, 1935 and was the son of Henry and Wilma Stahr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Gene is survived by his children, Vicky Stahr, Robert Stahr, Jack Stahr, Kay Stahr, and Gay Stahr; grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Zongyu, Lauren, Jose, Darren, and Heidi; and five great grandchildren.

Cremation services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home of Springfield, IL.

Celebration of Life will be held by the family at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 705 E Menard St, Riverton, IL 62561 at 10:30am on June 29th.
