Dawson, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW)  — A 63-year-old man from Dawson was pronounced dead after being found in a structure fire on Walnut Street, according to Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon.

The man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was discovered in the 300 block of Walnut Street. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.

The incident is currently under investigation.
