A 24-year-old Hillsboro man is facing charges of attempted murder and domestic battery after allegedly stabbing his grandmother in the head with a pair of scissors. On Wednesday, law enforcement responded to a domestic violence call on Hilltop Drive, where officers found the victim. The suspect, Tobey Wright, had run off.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department used their canine “Flex” and a drone in attempts to locate the suspect. Hillsboro High School and Hillsboro Hospital were put on alert due to the proximity of the search. The suspect was located on the railroad tracks near Tremont and Railroad Street and booked into the county jail. The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
