Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield man was sentenced Monday for his role in a drug conspiracy case involving the Boss Playas, a Springfield street gang. Christopher Wallace, 32, was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.

At sentencing, U.S. District Judge Sue Myerscough found Wallace was accountable for over 10 kilograms of cocaine and said the street gang was responsible for distributing large amounts of controlled substances in the Springfield area. The investigation showed the drug conspiracy lasted from May to November 2020.

Wallace was arrested in September 2022 and pleaded guilty in February 2024. He has been in custody since his arrest.
