Steve A. Utinske, 48, of Springfield, IL passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2024.

Steve was born in Springfield, IL on March 13, 1976 the son of Margie E. (Hohimer) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margie I. (Childers) Hohimer and Harvey I. Hohimer, and his aunt, Mary (Hohimer) Morrison.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Alexis M. Utinske of Springfield, Autumn N. Utinske of Riverton; son, Steve Jacob Harvey Utinske of Springfield; mother, Margie E. Wilson (Troy Mason) of Springfield; brother, Brian Utinske (Abby) of Springfield; fiancé, Debbie Ramsey of Springfield; nephews, Drew and Dylan Ater; aunts, Carol Alexander (Scott), Lois Harrison (Dennis), Janey Hohimer; as well as many cousins.

He was employed by John Harrison at Ashley Furniture Store in Decatur for 15 years and prior to that, Home Appliance Center in Decatur. His greatest joys were his children, Alexis, Autumn, Steve his “mini-me” and his fiancé, Debbie and family.

He was so proud of his tattoos of his children. Steve enjoyed cooking, his sword collection, his Harley-Davidson Motorcycles’ and his truck. He also loved traveling with his fiancé on vacations; he wanted to travel with her and his kids. Steve was an all-around handyman and he enjoyed working with his hands. One of his favorite things to do was to watch his Green Bay Packers with his son and fiancé.

Visitation will be held Friday July 26, 2024 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 pm.
