Springfield, ILĀ  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians will soon be able to use the new underpasses on Madison and Jefferson Streets. Construction of the underpasses between 9th and 11th Streets began in April 2023 as part of the larger Springfield Rail Improvement Project.
