Illinois bonds receive positive rating

Illinois bond ratings are improving. Moody’s Analytics changed its outlook on the bonds from “stable” to “positive” Tuesday. Comptroller Susana Mendoza says bond rating agencies notice when the state puts more money toward the Rainy Day Fund and the Pension Stabilization Fund.

ISP squad car struck on Interstate 55

An Illinois State Police squad car was struck by a Springfield man on Interstate 55 Saturday night. ISP troopers were investigating a traffic crash south of Litchfield when a squad car was struck by a Toyota driven by 76-year-old Fred Stewart of Springfield.
