Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – As votes from Tuesday’s primary election are counted, stay tuned to Capitol City Now and Newstalk 93.9 & AM 1240 for real-time results.

Voters are selecting candidates for federal, state, and Sangamon County races. In Sangamon County, a significant proposal is on the ballot: whether the county should form a mental health board, and increase the county sales tax to fund various initiatives the board may create.

Meanwhile, residents in the Ball-Chatham School District will vote on whether bonds should be issued to help fund a laundry list of building renovations and additions.

NOTE: Results are considered unofficial until each county’s election authority certifies, typically several weeks after the election.
