Here’s what I love about Springfield:
The people who have welcomed my family and me — both local folks and those from around the state whom I have met at the Capitol. I enjoy tremendous personal and professional support.

The weather. I like having four seasons, and, for the most part, the 17 years I have been here have seen far less snow than the 11 years I was in Peoria.

The state fair and horseshoes are also on the top of my list.

Here’s what I love about Springfield:

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum – The immediate step back into history and the glorious and well put together exhibits. My favorite one being the 3d Theatre show they put on called “Ghosts of the Library”

The historical sites and overall history of the city – Being a hometown to President Lincoln, I always found it interesting since I was a child that one of our most famous presidents used to live here.

The entertainment – Whether its a movie at the theatre, a concert, or even performing arts, Springfield has it all, and its all wonderful.
