Wednesday around 7pm, officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to the 100 block of Neptune Villa for the report of someone firing a gun.

Upon arrival, the suspect was identified as 21 yar old Isaac Tinsley of Springfield, who was taken into custody without incident as he was seen leaving his residence.

Members of the Street Crimes Unit who had arrived on scene were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence. During the search, several firearms were located that included a .40 caliber Glock 23 pistol, AR-15 style pistol, polymer 80 Glock pistol, 12-gauge shotgun with an altered barrel, and two homemade suppressors.

Upon completion of the search Tinsley was transported to the Sangamon County Jail where he awaits formal charges by the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Isaac was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon – shotgun, unlawful use of a weapon – silencer, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm – No FOID, and prohibition on unserialized firearms.
