Narcotics with an estimated street value of more than $53,000 were recovered from a Springfield home on Thursday. After taking 44-year-old William Blair of Springfield into custody during a vehicle stop, Springfield Police conducted a search of the home at 63 Drawbridge. Officers located approximately 787 grams of cocaine, 296 grams of fentanyl, a Smith and Wesson M&P firearm, digital scales and packaging indicative of drug sales, and $6,915.

Blair was arrested for armed habitual criminal, armed violence, manufacture delivery of cocaine 100-400 grams, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance within 500 ft. of a school, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Formal charges are pending by the Sangamon County States Attorney’s office.
