The Sangamon County Coroner’s office has released the name of the 55-year-old man who was killed while working on an HVAC system at Capital Airport on Monday.

Gregory Fields died that afternoon after being transported to Memorial Hospital following the incident.

An autopsy was done yesterday and preliminary findings suggest Mr. Fields died from burns and blunt force trauma.

The death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the State Fire Marshal office.
