The City of Springfield and its Urban Forestry Commission (UFC), along with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Illinois, and the Springfield Audubon Society, are together sponsoring the City’s Arbor Day Celebration.

This free, public event will take place on Friday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. at the Boys and Girl Club, 300 S. 15th Street. The celebration will include a brief program followed by a tree planting ceremony. Residents are welcome to attend, and the UFC will also be distributing free trees.
