Want to order beer delivered to your home? In the state of Illinois, that’s illegal. Ray Stout with the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild says there’s support for changing the law.  Currently, wine can be shipped to homes, but Stout says only 14 states allow home beer delivery.

A bill looking to make direct to consumer beer delivery legal has been introduced to the general assembly, and Stout says over 300 Illinois breweries could benefit from a change in the law.  Stout says it won’t replace picking up a 6-pack at the store but is more for the specialty and limited-edition beers.
