More children on Medicaid will be able to take advantage of a school health program getting a boost from a federal grant. Illinois Healthcare and Family Services spokesman Evan Fazio says this includes physical therapy, preventive care, behavioral health, and more. He adds that this will help “ease financial strain, enhance healthcare access, and ensuring academic success.” Before the program was only available to children receiving Medicaid who have an IEP – an individual education plan.
