The counterfeit cash is marked in several ways to indicate it’s not legal tender but it is still realistic enough to fool people.
For motion picture use printed along the front face of the bill.
The word copy is usually printed on both side of the bill.
Often the presidents name is changed or omitted.
Serial numbers are often all the same on movie money.
NOT FOR LEGAL TENDER appears on the bill.
The Chatham Police Department strongly encourages merchants and residents to carefully inspect all denominations of currency before completing a cash transaction.
