A report of several people using a gun to steal a dog led the Springfield Police Street Crimes Unit to search a home in the 1800 block of S. Wirt Ave. Saturday night. Four Springfield men were arrested.  Seven guns including an AK-47 pistol with a drum magazine, and a semi-automatic rifle with drum magazine were seized.

Breion M. Edwards (male, 19 years old of Springfield) was arrested for possession of stolen firearm, possession of firearm (No Foid), theft and cruel treatment to animals.


Dametris D. Nelson (male, 20 years old of Springfield) was arrested for possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm (No Foid)


Darryl A. Spratt (male, 40 years old of Springfield) was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on person/vehicle, mob action, theft, possession of a firearm, (No Foid)


Jaiylen J. Plato (male, 19 years old of Springfield) was arrested for possession of a firearm (No Foid), aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on person/vehicle, and a Saline County arrest warrant for aggravated assault of a police officer.
