Ben Crump, the civil rights attorney who worked for the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Trayvon Martin, has been retained by the family of Earl Moore, Jr.  Crump announced via Twitter that he and Texas-based attorney Bob Hilliard will represent the family.   Hilliard specializes in wrongful death and personal injury cases.

Peggy Finley and Peter Cadigan, two Lifestar EMS workers, are currently facing first degree murder charges in Moore’s death.   The autopsy report for 35-year-old Moore showed he died from compressional and positional asphyxia due to prone facedown restraint on a paramedic transportation cot/stretcher by tightened straps across back and lower body in the setting of lethargy and underlying chronic alcoholism.
